Cookbook Digest, Summer 2013

Chef insight is always worthwhile, even if it’s to learn you could never be a chef. But I’m willing to admit that their cookbooks can be daunting. Not the case with Elizabeth Falkner’s Cooking Off the Clock. She’s just like you–hungry and harried when she gets home and she’s willing to share her secrets for simple home cooking.

Tyler Florence also wants to convince you that home cooking is worth the seeming trouble (I am unwilling to admit that cooking is troublesome). In Fresh, he shocks with economic and health stats and tempts with recipes that are easy to cook but have a glossy style.

Enjoy!

Cookbook Digest, Summer 2013 also features Nick Malgieri on Sweet Stuff and Elizabeth Lambert on Food Truck Food
